The board shall consist of elected officers from within the active membership. These include the positions of Co-Chair(s), Data and Evaluations Officer, Finance Officer, Communications Strategy Officer, and Website Manager. Board members shall attend all scheduled board meetings in person or electronically. Board members are highly encouraged to attend all group general meetings and gatherings.

As part of her work, Julie is a Student Chapter Advisor for the National Association of Hispanic Journalists. Julie’s volunteer work includes being the Co-Chair of Nonprofit Relations team for the Bay Area chapter of PennPAC, Pro Bono Alumni Consulting. During the summertime, Julie spends her weekends kayaking alongside inner-city youth with Chicago Adventure Therapy. |

Noelia Vargas (pronouns: she/her/ella) is the Executive Assistant to Lorraine Goffe, VP of Human Resources and CHRO. She holds a BA in Psychology and Art, with Honors in Studio Arts. She is a seasoned executive assistant with a track record of providing top-tier support to C-suite level executives. With a keen eye for detail and a knack for organization, she excels in managing complex calendars, coordinating meetings, and creating impactful presentations. Her expertise extends to event planning, where she thrives in executing projects and events seamlessly. Noelia serves as a trusted liaison between executives and various stakeholders, ensuring smooth communication and collaboration. She also plays a key role in broader team communication, fostering a cohesive and productive work environment. Noelia is deeply passionate about giving back to the community and is actively involved in uplifting and supporting various organizations through volunteer work. She is a member of the programming committee for ANUW, a co-chair of Unidos, and a volunteer at Special Gifts Theatre. As a co-chair for Unidos, Noelia is dedicated to amplifying the contributions of the Latinx community and to upholding Northwestern’s commitment to building an innovative, collaborative, and multidimensional community. |

Regina is one of the newer members of the board and looks forward to sharing her enthusiasm for social events and connecting people. Her biggest passion in life is community, and she works hard to build it in her personal and professional lives. Her B.A. from the University of California at Berkeley and M.A. from Cornell are in English because writing is one of her favorite things to do, up there with spending time with friends. As the communications coordinator of the radiology department in the Feinberg School of Medicine, Regina manages social media, department newsletters, and the radiology website. In her spare time she leads a BIPOC horror book club and has maintained a personal blog since 2004. She is nobody’s mother and nobody’s wife. |

Natalie (pronouns: she/her/ella) is a Program and Partnership Coordinator for the Office of Community Education Partnerships (OCEP). In working with OCEP, Natalie hopes to promote equity in STEM education by developing free teacher professional development opportunities, authentic STEM experiences for students, and community partnerships in the Chicago area. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Neurobiology and a certificate in Global Health from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She is currently a graduate student in the Master of Data Science program at Northwestern University. Natalie also loves spending time with family/ friends and cooking. She also loves dogs and can’t wait to hopefully adopt one in the future! |
